Prototype Application | |||||||||
Our experiences during the prototype studies performed and the prototype dimensions were indicated in our presentation letter. According to our study, the photos of which you have seen, the following were taken:
The observations and tests were performed by increasing the number of revolutions in a controlled manner for the prototype layout with values provided above. It was observed that a weight of 32 kg attached to the system could be lifted by said system when a system speed of 1100 revolutions per minute was reached. The summarized operating principle for the prototype study, the figures of which are provided below, may be explained with reference to Figure:1 and Figure:2. Figure:1 provides a view of the wings attached to the drum and Figure:2 provides a representation of the angles of incidence assumed by the wings at different positions along the full circular motion thereof through 360˚ in a drum that conforms to the cycloidal-rotor concept. Figure:3 provides the animation illustrating the operation based on the cycloidal-rotor concept where my prototype study is a layout that also operates based on the same concept and logic. The figures of the prototype test machine, on which I performed the observations and tests and for which the theoretical calculations matched the practice, are provided below:
